I'm a playwright, screenwriter and theatre practitioner based in Inverclyde, Scotland.
I have an MA with Distinction in Writing for Television from Glasgow Caledonian, which I attained after receiving a scholarship from BBC Scotland. I've also attended invitational writers' groups at the BBC, the Royal Court, Theatre503 and Soho Theatre.
I was recently on attachment at The Beacon Arts Centre as part of their New Relations Residencies, in association with Inverclyde Culture Collective. In 2022, I was selected as one of BBC's Scottish Voices, after my TV pilot Briar RIse made the top 2% of Writersroom's Open Call. I was also shortlisted for 4Screenwriting in 2017 and 2019.
My work has been presented at The Beacon, Southwark Playhouse, The Finborough, The Bunker, Theatre503, The Old Red Lion, The Cockpit, The Charing Cross Theatre, The Union, Latitude Festival and Paines Plough’s Roundabout at the Edinburgh Fringe, among others.
I have extensive experience as a performer, director, reader, copywriter, singer, host, deviser, puppeteer, graphic/sound designer, quizmaster, workshop facilitator, usher and pint-puller.
I also run drama workshops for adults on Monday evenings at Prominence Academy of Performing Arts in Greenock. No experience necessary. Low stakes, big laughs. Mon join in!
